GrowWise ("we", "us", or "our") is a child development tracking application that helps parents monitor milestones, growth, and wellbeing. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your children. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

• Subscription data: Payment information processed by Stripe (we do not store your full card details).
• Usage data: App interactions and preferences to improve our service.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We use Stripe for payment processing and do not store full credit card numbers. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel and is protected by authentication protocols. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Family sharing: When you explicitly invite family members to access your child's data.
• Payment processing: With Stripe for subscription billing.
• Service providers: With trusted third parties who help us operate the app (e.g., AI providers for content generation).
• Legal compliance: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, etc.), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and your children.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.

7. Children's Privacy

GrowWise is designed for parents and caregivers to track their children's development. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All data is provided by parents or authorized caregivers. We comply with applicable child privacy laws including COPPA (USA) and GDPR provisions for children's data.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. When you delete your account, all associated data — including child profiles, milestones, journals, growth records, and subscription information — is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

GrowWise uses cookies and local storage to remember your preferences (such as selected country and language) and to cache content. For users in the European Union and United Kingdom, we display a GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner with three categories:

• Strictly Necessary Cookies: Always active — required for the app to function (login, preferences, child profile).
• Analytics Cookies: Disabled by default — help us understand which features are most used. Requires explicit opt-in.
• Marketing & Affiliate Cookies: Disabled by default — tracking pixels and affiliate networks. Requires explicit opt-in.

"Reject All" and "Accept All" buttons have equal prominence. No pre-ticked boxes. You can customize granular preferences and change them at any time. The app remains fully functional even if you reject all optional cookies — we do not use tracking walls.

Germany: Our cookie banner includes direct links to this Legal Notice (Impressum) and Privacy Policy on the first screen, as required by German law (BFDI & TTDSG).

Netherlands: In accordance with Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens guidance, we do not block access to the free parts of the app based on cookie consent.
